Hon. Oladiran Alabi has extended warm felicitations to fathers across Nigeria on the occasion of Father’s Day, describing them as the bedrock of the family institution and indispensable contributors to the growth and stability of the nation.
In a statement released to commemorate the celebration, Hon. Alabi acknowledged the sacrifices, resilience, and leadership roles played by fathers throughout history, noting that their impact transcends generations and continues to shape society’s future.
According to him, fathers of the past laid the foundation of discipline, integrity, and hard work upon which many families and communities were built. He added that present-day fathers continue to shoulder enormous responsibilities in nurturing their children, providing guidance, and preserving moral values despite prevailing economic and social challenges.
“Today, we celebrate not only the fathers among us but also the legacies of those who came before us and the hopes of those who will take up the responsibility in the future. Fathers remain the pillars upon which strong families and prosperous societies are built,” he stated.
Hon. Alabi further emphasized that the future of any nation is largely dependent on the quality of leadership and mentorship provided within the home, stressing that fathers play a critical role in raising responsible citizens and future leaders.
He called on fathers to remain steadfast in their commitment to family values, love, discipline, and service to humanity, while urging society to appreciate and support their efforts.
