Hon. Oladiran Alabi has paid glowing tribute to the late former Governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Isiak Ajimobi, on the sixth anniversary of his passing, describing him as the modern architect of the new Oyo State whose visionary leadership transformed the state’s political and developmental landscape.
In a statement issued to commemorate the anniversary, Hon. Alabi recalled the remarkable contributions of the late statesman to the growth and progress of Oyo State, noting that Ajimobi’s legacy continues to inspire leaders and residents across the state.
According to him, the former governor redefined governance through infrastructural development, urban renewal, improved security, and policies that laid the foundation for sustainable growth. He stated that Ajimobi’s administration brought a new sense of order, discipline, and confidence to governance in Oyo State.
“Six years after his departure, the impact of Senator Abiola Isiak Ajimobi remains evident across Oyo State. He was a visionary leader, a bridge-builder, and the modern architect of the new Oyo State. His commitment to development and good governance left an enduring mark that history will never forget,” Hon. Alabi said.
He further noted that beyond politics, the late Ajimobi was a mentor to many young politicians and public servants, whose guidance and leadership helped shape a generation of progressive leaders within and beyond Oyo State.
Hon. Alabi urged political leaders and public office holders to draw inspiration from the former governor’s dedication to service, courage in leadership, and unwavering commitment to the welfare of the people.
While praying for the peaceful repose of the late statesman’s soul, Hon. Alabi said Senator Ajimobi’s memory would continue to live on in the hearts of those who benefited from his leadership and in the developmental strides that define modern Oyo State today.
