Hon. Oladiran Alabi has congratulated Nigerians on the occasion of Democracy Day, describing the annual celebration as a reminder of the nation’s democratic journey, sacrifices, and collective aspirations for a better future.
In a statement issued to commemorate June 12, Hon. Alabi paid tribute to the heroes and heroines of democracy whose struggles and sacrifices laid the foundation for the democratic system currently being enjoyed in the country. He noted that Democracy Day remains a symbol of the resilience, courage, and determination of Nigerians in the pursuit of justice, freedom, and good governance.
The APC stalwart urged citizens to continue supporting democratic institutions and actively participate in the democratic process, stressing that sustainable development can only be achieved through unity, patriotism, and responsive leadership. He further called on leaders at all levels to remain committed to delivering the dividends of democracy to the people.
Hon. Alabi also expressed optimism about the future of Nigeria, praying for peace, progress, and prosperity across the nation. He encouraged Nigerians not to lose hope despite prevailing challenges, adding that with collective effort and unwavering faith, the country will attain greater heights.
