Hon. Oladiran Alabi has expressed deep sadness over the death of Alhaji Waheed Akin Olaide, who served as Secretary to the State Government (SSG) during the administration of the late former Governor of Oyo State, Senator Isiaka Abiola Ajimobi.
Hon. Alabi, in a condolence message, described the deceased as a distinguished public servant and committed individual whose contributions to the development of Oyo State would remain a significant part of his legacy.
He noted that Alhaji Waheed Akin Olaide played an important role in the administration of the late Governor Ajimobi, bringing his experience, wisdom and dedication to the service of the state.
“Alhaji Waheed Akin Olaide was a man of great experience and commitment to public service. His demise is a painful loss to his family, associates, the political family and the people of Oyo State,” Hon. Alabi stated.
The APC chieftain said the death of the former SSG came as a great shock, particularly to those who worked closely with him and valued his contributions to governance and public administration.
Hon. Alabi further recalled the late Alhaji Olaide’s association with the administration of Senator Abiola Ajimobi, noting that his service formed part of the collective efforts that shaped the developmental strides recorded during the administration.
He extended his heartfelt condolences to the immediate family of the deceased, his friends, political associates and the people of Oyo State, urging them to find comfort in the worthy legacy he left behind.
“At this difficult moment, my thoughts and prayers are with the family and everyone mourning this great loss. May Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings, grant him Al-Jannah Firdaus and give the bereaved family the strength and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss,” Hon. Alabi prayed.
He urged the family to take solace in the positive impact the deceased made during his lifetime and the memories he left in the hearts of those who knew him.
